Do You Have An Entrepreneur’s Mindset?
Suddenly you get the most amazing internet business idea. With no concern for anybody else, you drop everything and start working on your new idea. This idea is so encompassing that you become an almost recluse in pursuing it.
Then the seemingly inevitable happens. You lose the passion. Your enthusiasm wanes. Indeed, you get a little bored working on your project, and eventually you stop working on it.
Soon enough the cycle repeats when another exciting ideas hits you. Does it sound familiar to you?
Sometimes on business forums, you read about people who start from nothing
and go on to do great things. In addition, others spend years without getting anywhere. What is the difference? It has nothing to do with an introvert or extrovert entrepreneur, or the level of knowledge or skill.
It leaves you with your mindset;
The Entrepreneurial Marketing Mindset.
The fear of success surprises some people. After all, if success were what you are hoping, dreaming and planning for, why would you be afraid of it? Simple: Because a fear of success is really a fear of the unknown.
I use the following acronym for fear: False Evidence Appearing Real. Success means stepping out of your comfort zone. Fears tend to manifest always in the same way, including through procrastination, perfectionism and making excuses. To beat this you have to recognize that these behaviors signal fear.
By acknowledging your fear, you are taking the first step on conquering it.
Perfectionism is socially acceptable – even admired. What happen here is that you keep telling yourself not to put out a product, sales letter or marketing campaign until its “perfect.” However, it will never be perfect – and so you spend weeks and months tweaking something that could have already been putting money in your pocket. Fighting back and conquering perfectionism is the same as any other fear: Recognize it, reflect on why you might be doing it, and then roll out a course of action and start taking small steps.
The most common way to show fear is by blaming someone else or something else for your disappointments… True entrepreneurs take full responsibility for their disappointments and failures. Your ability to recognize this fear will enable you to start taking control of your business (and your live) and start enjoying success.
I see my online business as a journey. Along the journey, there are many obstacles and disappointments to overcome. Willingly make changes and adapting certain behaviors, attitudes and operations to reach your goal.
That is the entrepreneurial spirit. Entrepreneurs focus on what they want. Be grateful for what you have and be grateful for what is coming.
Focus your intentions and desires on the emotion of what you want, such as how you will feel when you get it. Do not ever say, “I don’t have enough money.” Say, instead, “I’m grateful that I have an abundance of money.” Yes, you say that even when you do not yet have what you perceive to be abundance… because what you focus on, what you think about, expands and becomes reality.
A successful online business entrepreneur constantly examines themselves, their way of doing things, changing and evolving their business operations to ensure sustainable success.
Be true to your own unique self. You deserve it.
