Can anyone do SEO?

Yes, anyone can do it. All it requires are knowledge, time and an understanding of how search engine works. With that being said bear in mind that this is not a one time job. You have to work continuously on it to better your site.

Anchor text is one of the most important factors that Search Engines evaluate when ranking Websites for specific keywords. The reason behind this is that a link to your site is considered as “a vote of trust” from that other site linking to your site, and so the better reputation the site linking to your site has, the more valuable is the back link.

How do I use Anchor Text to benefit my SEO?
It is important to make the most out of your link by choosing the right anchor text. If you are requesting links from others, have the code for your link all ready to go, easy for them to insert into their webpage. Anchor text gives Google additional information about your site, so one must keep it descriptive and useful.

Make sure the links to your website is with the keyword (key phrase) that you are trying to optimize for, and that the back linking website has the same theme than yours.

The reason we are on the web is to conduct a business. As in all businesses, there are rules and guidelines to follow to be successful. If you want to be on the first page of the search engines, you have to read and do that it is going to take me to get there.

Why? To be on the first page means lots of organic visitors, and visitors are what all websites are craving for!

Here is another innovative way of finding good links.

But first let’s put some guidelines down for good linking etiquette.

Before asking for links make sure that you:
1 have a link ready before asking for linking back to you.
2 supply the location of the reciprocal link
3 make it easy for them. Give the link text to use – you can even supply it in html so it is just for copy and paste
4 They have a links page
5 Supply all necessary information to make it easy for them to link to you.

How to get link partners.
1 Search the major search engines with your target keywords.
2 Visit those pages that came up.
3 Make sure these sites compliment yours.
4 Look for sites that are not in strong competition with you.
5 Ask the site owners if they are interested in linking to you.

Why is this system good?
1 You found these sites through keywords via the search engines.
2 The search engines are telling you that these sites are good because they rank well.
3 Links to these pages are important to you because of the relevance of keywords.

How to ask for a link
1 If possible try contacting people by voice instead of email
2 People are more inclined to respond to your request when you spoke on phone
3 Ask permission to link
4 You might state that a link back is not required but would be appreciated
5 If you have permission, link to them and confirm the linking by email.
6 A warm personal phone call goes a lot further than simply an email.
